The group includes any type of mollusc (ISSCAAP division 5). Molluscs are aquatic or land animals of various species, wild or cultivated, which have an inedible outer or inner shell. The edible aquatic Molluscs live mainly in brackish water or in the sea; several species are cultivated. The part consumed/analysed is by default the whole or a portion of it representing the observed heterogeneity.
