Batch process A0CHR Facets ** Extended term *

The food has been subject to processing in batch (defined amounts processed in one shot), as opposite to processing in a continuous system. To be preferably used together with specific process descriptors, when the process may have both solutions and is important to distinguish between the two types of process.

Extended term (Level of detail)

Implicit facet descriptors are characteristics a food already implies, so they are left out of its FoodEx2 code. For example, "smoked salmon" (A02KF) implies the facet descriptor "smoking" (F28.A07JV); because the term itself already conveys it, it is not added to the code. ↩
