The group includes any type of Sheperd's pie, also known as cottage pie, i.e. a composite dish usually made with a considerable proportion of mashed potatoes and other ingredients (e.g. minced meat) and without a pastry crust (no pastry pie). More detailed information on the characterising ingredients can be added with additional facet descriptors.
